  • Stagehand = who moves scenary in a theatre (tramoyista).
  • Inch = (pulgada).
  • Dreadful = awful.
  • Glistening = glittering = bright.
  • To fly into panic = to become very frightened and nervous.
  • To plug = to connect (contextualmente, 'dejar').
  • To snatch = to grab.
  • To grasp = to hold.
  • Distressed = worried.
  • To put sb. off = to discourage.
  • To pull away = to move away.
  • Fortnight = 15 days.
  • To stumble = (tropezar).
  • Dampness = wetness.
  • Musty = smelling of wetness.
  • Carved = sculpt.
  • To plead = to beg.
