VAN GOGH...

This stunning self-portrait belongs to the famous but depressed Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890), whose work was not sold until his death day. It was created in 1889 and it is currently shown at the Courtald Institute Gallery in France.

As you can see on the picture beside, van Gogh was an impressionist painter. The image has been created with lots of rough brush-strokes and it seems to be vaguely painted. Brown, yellow and orange watercolours are the predominant ones.

On the photo we are able to portray the one-eared redhead European wearing a black woolen hat and a smooth coat. At the background, as well, we can distinguish another artist’s work, an easel and a canvas.

In short, a real MASTERPIECE!
