  • Clatter = loud noise (estrépito).
  • To slump = to collapse (desplomarse).
  • 'I can't take any more!' = 'I can't stand any more!' ('¡No aguanto más!')
  • Beloved = loved.
  • Stocky = plump.
  • Storeroom = little warehouse.
  • To trip over = to stumble (tropezar).
  • Nudge = small push (empujoncito).
  • Terror-stricken = scared stiff.
  • To flatten = to make flat.
  • Unbearable = (insoportable).
  • Claw = animals' nails.
  • Scrape = scratch.
